Description
This Steiff Bear of the Year 2001 was produced as an exclusive edition for The Danbury Mint. The teddy bear is manufactured from gold-coloured genuine mohair and is five-way jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. The facial features consist of fixed black eyes and a hand-stitched nose and mouth in dark brown thread. The bear features brown felted paw pads. It retains the original yellow fabric ear tag showing the Steiff logo and product number 654756, held in place by a metal button embossed with the Steiff name. The bear wears a dark green velvet ribbon collar with a gold-tone commemorative medallion depicting an embossed bear and the year 2001. Original paper information tags remain attached to the foot.

Condition report:
The bear is in excellent condition, appearing to have been well-preserved as a collector\'s item. The mohair pile is full and clean with no signs of thinning. The felt paw pads are intact and free from wear. All original tags, buttons, and the commemorative medallion are present and undamaged.
