Description
This lot comprises several boxed sets of flatware and serving pieces. Included is a silver-plated spoon set by Harrods, presented in a blue textured case with a white satin and blue velvet interior. The set features one serving spoon and six dessert spoons with tapered handles, with the interior lid marked Harrods LONDON S.W.I in black script. Also included is a pair of salad servers consisting of a serving spoon and a three-pronged serving fork, featuring white ceramic handles decorated with hand-painted blue floral motifs and finished with metal finials. A two-piece cake serving set is present, containing a knife and a server, both with decorative handles featuring a textured gold-coloured pattern under a faceted surface. The final set consists of six gold-toned spoons housed in a brown presentation box, with five pieces remaining in their original tissue paper wrapping.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. The Harrods silver-plated set shows light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age. The salad serving set appears to be in unused condition, still secured with original ties to the lining. The cake serving set shows light surface marks and minor tarnish to the metal. The gold-toned spoons appear well-preserved. Presentation boxes show minor external wear and scuffing to the edges.
