Description
A student-grade Bb clarinet of Boehm system design. The instrument comprises five sections: a mouthpiece with a metal ligature and black plastic cap, barrel, upper joint, lower joint, and bell. The body is constructed from a black matte-finish composite resin, fitted with nickel-plated metal keywork. No maker’s marks or serial numbers are clearly visible on the instrument sections themselves; however, the accompanying case is embroidered with the Lade brand logo and the text Designed by USA. The lot includes several accessories: a tube of Frends cork grease, a blue microfibre cleaning cloth, and a plastic reed holder. The set is housed in a black fabric-covered, soft-sided zippered case featuring a moulded interior and a shoulder strap.
Condition report:
The instrument is in used condition, with surface tarnishing and wear to the nickel-plated keys consistent with handling. The tenon corks appear intact. A professional service is recommended to ensure the pads are correctly seated and the mechanical regulation is optimal for playability.
