Lot 71:
Description
This collection consists of various decorative and commemorative pieces. Included are a pair of cut glass scent bottles with bulbous, ovoid bodies decorated with diamond-cut patterns and deep vertical flutes, fitted with white metal collars and clear glass stoppers. These are in the style of early 20th-century silver-mounted crystal scent bottles. The lot features a circular clear glass paperweight etched with the inscription RAILTRACK Flotation 20 May 1996, which commemorates the privatisation of the British railway infrastructure company, accompanied by a green pouch. Ceramic items include a boxed set of dark red glazed knife rests with a ribbed Art Deco design and a collection of loose clear glass knife rests with crosshatched patterns. Porcelain pieces comprise a figurine of a lady in a spotted dress holding a gilt urn and an assortment of small white bisque porcelain cherubs. Additional items include a rectangular picture frame with neoclassical gilt motifs on a black ground, a marbled art glass or ceramic egg on a circular metal stand, and a flat brush with natural bristles and a black handle.
Scent bottles: height approx. 11 cm
Picture frame: approx. 18 cm x 13 cm

Condition report:
The items generally appear to be in good condition. The glass scent bottles are clear, though the metal collars show signs of tarnish. The boxed ceramic knife rests are well-preserved. Some loose glass pieces may have minor surface wear or tiny chips common with use. The Railtrack paperweight face appears free from significant scratching.
