Description
A collection of decorative items and historical memorabilia presented on a vintage rectangular metal tray. The collection includes a group of ceramic figurines depicting children in traditional continental dress, including a boy with a flute and bird, a girl with a doll, and a boy with a teddy bear, all in the style of Goebel Hummel. The lot features a rectangular porcelain tea caddy with floral panels and a metal cap, a group of porcelain knife rests with floral transfer decoration, and a small hand-painted porcelain cow. Two circular lidded boxes are present, featuring dense floral patterns in the style of Kashmiri lacquerware. Militaria interest is represented by a glass-fronted memorial paperweight for the German Iron Cross (1914), containing text referencing the Battle of the Somme. Additional items include a circular hand mirror with needlepoint floral backing, a small white porcelain cachepot with relief moulding and blue bands, a miniature plate with a romantic scene, and a wooden folding fan with a yellow tassel. The tray features scrolling metal borders and cream-coloured composite handles.

Condition report:
The metal tray shows significant surface tarnish and age-related wear to the metal finish. The internal paper of the Iron Cross memorial exhibits foxing and browning. The decorative ceramics and lacquerware boxes generally appear in good condition, though minor surface wear or small chips consistent with age may be present upon closer inspection. The tassel on the folding fan is frayed.
