Description
A vintage Tri-ang Hornby RS11 The Goods electric model railway set. This OO gauge set features components constructed from molded plastic with metal track rails. The set includes a red 0-4-0 tank locomotive, numbered 9 on the cab sides and bearing the name Polly on the side tanks. The rolling stock comprises three wagons: a grey open wagon with a diagonal white stripe, a dark brown/black open wagon, and a reddish-brown 20-ton brake van marked M73031. Accessories include a quantity of curved track sections and a black power controller with a red dial and wiring. A partial Tri-ang Hornby Model Railways instruction leaflet is included. The set is presented in its original illustrated cardboard box with a yellow vacuum-formed plastic inner tray. The box and interior insert strip are marked Tri-ang Hornby and The Goods.

Condition report:
The locomotive and rolling stock appear to be in good cosmetic condition. The original cardboard box is in worn condition, exhibiting significant creasing, paper loss, and structural tears at the corners and edges. The inner plastic tray shows some age-related wear. The set is untested for mechanical or electrical function.
