Description

A collection of writing instruments and accessories including fountain pens and ballpoint pens by manufacturers such as Parker and Paper Mate. The collection features three fountain pens: one in cream resin with a gold-tone centre band and an exposed steel nib; one in the style of a Parker 21 or 51 with a black barrel, hooded nib, and brushed metal cap; and one in the style of a Parker 21 or 51 with a burgundy barrel, hooded nib, and fluted gold-tone metal cap.

Boxed items include a vintage Paper Mate ballpoint pen with a lime green barrel decorated with white starburst motifs, housed in a cream presentation case featuring the double-heart logo; a blue Paper Mate ballpoint pen in a black and grey presentation box; and a red Paper Mate ballpoint pen in a clear plastic case marked Paper Mate U.S.A. A further black pen with gold-tone trim is contained within a black presentation box featuring a handwritten inscription on the interior lid stating A PRESENT FROM LACERMIORA . OCT 2024.

Loose ballpoint pens include a brushed stainless steel Parker Jotter with a chrome arrow clip and a gold-tone fluted metal pen. The lot also includes two carded Parker ballpoint refills, with one marked as Extra Fine (XF).

Condition report:

Items are in used vintage condition with visible surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use. Fountain pens are shown uncapped; separate caps are present. The Paper Mate presentation boxes show some age-related discolouration and minor staining to the linings. Carded refills exhibit shelf wear and creasing to the cardboard packaging. Functional condition of ink cartridges and filling mechanisms has not been tested.
