A collection of UK coins comprising struck cupro-nickel and bronze issues from the mid-to-late 20th century. The grouping features a presentation set of seven cupro-nickel halfcrowns with dates ranging from 1961 to 1967. Multiple 1977 Silver Jubilee commemorative crowns are included, each housed in a square plastic case. Two commemorative presentation folders for the 1990 Queen Mother 90th Birthday £5 coins are present alongside a Britain’s First Decimal Coins 1971 set in a blue folder. A wooden presentation box with a red velvet-lined interior contains a quantity of loose bronze coinage, including pre-decimal pennies and halfpennies featuring the effigies of George VI and Elizabeth II. These coins illustrate the transition to decimal currency and various royal commemorations of the period.
Half-crown set case: 155 mm width.
Condition report:
The commemorative cupro-nickel coins and presentation sets are in uncirculated to near-uncirculated condition. Presentation folders and plastic cases show light surface wear from storage.
