Description
A collectible baby doll from the Ashton-Drake Galleries Yolanda’s Picture Perfect Babies collection, identified as the model Matthew. The doll is constructed with a bisque porcelain head and hands and a soft, padded fabric body. It features fixed, inset green glass-like eyes and a short dark wig visible beneath the cap. The doll is dressed in its original nautical-themed ensemble, comprising a white sailor’s blouse with navy blue trim and brass-tone buttons, a red fabric neckerchief, white trousers, black shoes, and a matching white and navy sailor cap. Included within the lot is a separate navy blue garment with white piping, possibly a cape or coat, which remains sealed in its original plastic packaging. The item is housed in its original branded box with manufacturer’s tissue paper and a swing tag attached to the right wrist.
Seated height: Approximately 25 – 30 cm
Full length: Approximately 35 – 40 cm.
Condition report:
The doll appears to be in as-new or New in Box (NIB) condition. Original protective plastic remains over the face and bubble wrap is present around the hands. The outer cardboard box shows signs of age and shelf wear, including scuffing and minor crushing to the top flap and edges.
