Description

A collection of items comprising commemorative ceramics, a novelty trinket box, and vintage photographic accessories. The ceramic items include a Royal Worcester fine bone china mug celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II (1953–2003), featuring a transfer-printed floral crest within an oval cartouche and gilt accents. It is accompanied by its original dark blue presentation box bearing the Royal Worcester mark and Royal Warrant. Also included is a porcelain mug from The Royal Collection, produced for the 2002 Golden Jubilee, decorated with the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom and a light blue border, housed in its original light blue presentation box. The lot features a silver-plated novelty trinket box in the form of a grand piano. The piece has a hinged lid, keyboard detailing, and is raised on three cabriole legs. The interior is lined with red velvet. The photographic equipment consists of two wooden contact printing frames of square form with mitred corners. Each frame utilises a reverse mechanism with hinged panels and spring-loaded metal pressure straps. The reverse of one frame is impressed with a circular mark for J.H. Dallmeyer Ltd London. One frame currently contains a monochrome photograph of a street scene.

Mug height: approximately 10 cm
Printing frame: approximately 11.5 cm x 11.5 cm.

Condition report:

The items are in good vintage condition. The ceramics show no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The presentation boxes show minor signs of shelf wear and light scuffing. The silver-plated piano exhibits surface tarnishing and patina commensurate with age. The wooden frames show age-related wear, surface dust, and oxidation to the metal components.
