Description
A pair of vintage advertising mirrors, circa 1970s-1980s, of a type commonly used for pub or home bar decor. The first mirror features the red Rolls Royce monogram to the upper section and a central inset image of a vintage blue motor car within a decorative gilt-effect border. The lower section bears the text You can be the proud owner of our latest model in a blue script font. The second mirror advertises Southern Comfort as The Grand Old Drink of the South. The central oval vignette depicts a Mississippi riverboat and a plantation house scene. Additional text includes Made on the Banks of the Mississippi in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A., BY SOUTHERN COMFORT CORPORATION, and 87.7 PROOF. Both mirrors are housed in matching rectangular stained wood frames.

Condition report:
The mirror plate for the Rolls Royce item shows significant signs of age with prominent foxing and silvering loss, particularly around the edges and over the central car graphic. The Southern Comfort mirror plate is in generally good condition with minor instances of foxing and surface wear. Both wooden frames exhibit scuffs and surface marks consistent with age and use.
