Description
An assortment of silver-plated wares comprising various tableware and decorative objects. The collection includes a three-light candelabrum with scrolling arms and an urn-shaped central stem; a large lobed basket with a fixed swing-style handle and scalloped rim; a polished goblet with a gilt-wash interior presented in a purple silk-lined case; and a boxed set of napkin rings with beaded edges. The grouping also contains several trays and platters, including a large oval tray with a decorative gadrooned border and a rectangular tray with a curved back. Hollowware pieces include a gravy boat with a scrolled handle, a pedestal bowl with a pierced reticulated rim, and an embossed tankard with a textured surface. A red-lined box contains a grouping of circular items wrapped in protective plastic. The items are fashioned in various traditional styles, including Georgian and Victorian reproductions. Marks are present on several bases but are not clearly legible; the items are catalogued as silver-plated. A wooden measuring rule is visible in the background showing markings from 20 to 26 inches.

The items exhibit varying degrees of surface wear, tarnish, and oxidisation consistent with age and use. The napkin rings show significant wear to the plating, with the underlying base metal visible.
