Description
A collection of seven vintage and antique scent and perfume bottles including a Chanel No. 5 bottle. The Chanel bottle is of square clear glass construction with a faceted glass stopper and an original paper label printed with N°5 CHANEL PARIS. The collection includes a large cylindrical clear glass decanter featuring etched foliate and floral patterns, fitted with a black plastic sunburst-shaped stopper. Also present is a clear glass bottle of hexagonal form with a silver-toned metal screw-on cap, and a square glass bottle encased in a silver-toned metal filigree cutout overlay with a matching rectangular metal cap. The group is completed by a small clear cut-glass bottle with a heart-shaped faceted glass stopper, an oval frosted cobalt blue glass bottle with a white metal screw cap, and a miniature clear glass bottle with diamond-cut patterns within a gold-toned metal filigree cage and matching cap.
Large etched bottle: 22 cm height
Hexagonal bottle: 14 cm height
Chanel No. 5 bottle: 6.5 cm height.
Condition report:
The collection is in used vintage condition with wear consistent with age and previous use. There is visible tarnishing to the metal components, particularly on the silver-toned overlay and the gold-toned cage. The Chanel paper label shows minor wear and discolouration. Some bottles contain liquid residue or evaporation stains from previous contents.
