Description
A decorative whistle manufactured from cast brass-toned metal. The object comprises a smooth cylindrical whistle tube and a terminal finial cast in the form of a ram’s head. The ram’s head features prominent curled horns and textured fleece, with a dark patination applied to the recessed details to enhance the relief of the casting. A small, integral suspension loop is located at the top of the head for use as a pendant or keyring attachment. The whistle lacks any visible maker’s marks, hallmarks, or serial numbers.
Length: approximately 7.5 cm (3 inches).
Condition report:
The item is in good condition with minor surface wear and light oxidation consistent with age and use. The whistle mechanism is intact.
