Description
A Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover of ovoid form, hand-painted in polychrome Famille Rose enamels on a white ground. The main body features a continuous narrative scene depicting two ladies and two young boys playing in a garden landscape with stylized rockwork, trees, and a fence. The shoulder is decorated with a collar of alternating pink and yellow ruyi heads, and the base is finished with a multi-coloured petal lappet border. The matching domed lid is similarly decorated with a single seated boy in a garden setting and a turquoise-ground border at the rim. No marks are visible as the base is not shown in the provided photographs.

The jar and cover appear to be in good overall condition. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of professional restoration visible.
