Description
An assortment of religious and Roman Catholic devotional objects. The collection includes a large wall-mounted crucifix featuring a black-stained wooden cross with a cast white metal corpus of Christ and an INRI plaque. An ornate cast brass or gilt-metal cross is decorated in the Victorian Revival style with foliate scrollwork and relief figures. Also present is a Celtic-style stained glass cross with leaded seams, iridescent blue and purple panels, and a central blue glass cabochon. A folding devotional diptych in silver-toned white metal contains twenty-six relief medallions depicting the Stations of the Cross and biblical scenes, with a small central wood-mounted crucifix. A devotional plaque depicts the Holy Face of Christ (Ecce Homo) in silver-toned metal mounted on a black glass or stone base with decorative corner accents. A commemorative relief medallion is mounted on a black base with the inscription RICORDO DI POMPEI. Ephemera includes a blue vinyl folding case for The Angelus prayer containing metal tokens, a small white metal medal and crucifix on rings, and a plastic souvenir bag containing soil labelled HOLY EARTH OF THE HOLY LAND BETHLEHEM.

Condition report:
The collection is in overall good vintage condition. There is visible age-related tarnish and patina to the metal components, particularly the brass cross and white metal elements. The silvering on the decorative corners of the Holy Face plaque shows some wear. Minor surface abrasions are present on the wooden and glass components consistent with age and handling.
