Description

This lot comprises a single non-firing decorative replica of an 18th-century style left-handed flintlock pistol, identified as Denix model DX1296G. The piece features a 7.5 inch (19 cm) cast metal barrel with a flared muzzle and an overall length of approximately 14 inches (35.5 cm). The metal components are finished in a faux-aged pewter tone and are heavily decorated with relief-cast scrollwork, floral patterns, and a mythological figure integrated into the lock plate. The furniture consists of a stained wood stock with a rounded grip, accented by a decorative cast metal butt cap and a dummy ramrod permanently positioned beneath the barrel. There are no visible manufacturer markings or serial numbers present on the external surfaces of the replica.

Condition report:

The cast metal components exhibit a faux-pewter finish with minor surface oxidation and typical casting artifacts consistent with decorative replicas. The stained wood stock shows visible signs of wear, including several surface scratches and minor indentations along the upper grip and near the lock assembly. The mechanical action of the hammer and trigger appears to function, however, as this is a non-firing decorative item, it is not designed to chamber or discharge ammunition.
