Description
A vintage novelty musical jewellery box manufactured by Gantoy, designed in the form of a mid-century television set. The cabinet is constructed from dark brown textured hard plastic with a cream-coloured inner bezel and a translucent horizontally-ribbed plastic screen. Behind the screen is a monochrome image depicting a woman playing a guitar. The front features two non-functional control knobs and a central pull-out drawer for storage. The drawer front is decorated with a shield-shaped maker’s label featuring vertical blue and white stripes and a red border, printed with GANTOY. The reverse of the unit consists of a perforated brown plastic panel secured by four screws, which houses a metal butterfly-style wind-up key for the clockwork musical mechanism. No original packaging is present.

Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. The plastic cabinet exhibits surface scuffs and light scratches consistent with age and handling. The GANTOY label shows minor wear and slight lifting at the edges. The internal monochrome image remains clear. Both the drawer and the winding key move freely; however, the musical movement has not been tested for sound quality or playback duration.
