Description
A silver Plated presentation casket of rectangular form with clipped corners. The piece features a hinged lid and stands on four scrolled feet. The front face is engraved with the following inscription: PRESENTED TO MRS R. J. FINCH, BY THE MEMBERS & OFFICIALS OF THE AUDENSHAW LABOUR CLUB FOR SERVICES RENDERED 1938 – 1944. It also bears the manufacturer pattern number 12936. The interior features an aged gold-wash gilt finish.

Condition report:
The silver surface displays general tarnish and light surface scratches consistent with age and polishing. There are several small pinpoint pits to the exterior, particularly on the front face. The interior shows significant oxidation and wear to the original gilt finish. The hinge mechanism is intact and the lid sits flush. The four scrolled feet are structurally sound and stable.
