Description
A Galileo Newtonian reflecting telescope featuring a textured grey metal optical tube mounted on a black tripod. The tube displays the maker’s name and is fitted with a rack-and-pinion focuser. The alt-azimuth mount includes manual slow-motion control cables and is supported by an adjustable tripod with a central accessory tray. The instrument is equipped with both a red-dot finder and an optical finder scope. Included is a 1.5x erecting eyepiece. The front of the tube is fitted with a dust cap featuring a logo depicting a figure with a telescope and the name Galileo.
Condition report:
The telescope shows signs of use including surface dust and minor scuffs to the tube and tripod legs. The internal primary and secondary mirrors have not been inspected for oxidation or coating wear. Mechanical movements for the focuser and mount are operational but have not been tested for astronomical precision.
