Description
An assortment of lace-making bobbins, predominantly of the East Midlands style, presented in a hinged cedar wood storage box. The collection comprises bobbins crafted from various materials, including light and dark turned woods, bone-effect materials, and a brass-coloured metal bobbin. The majority of the bobbins feature decorative glass and plastic bead spangles attached to the ends with wire. Several items within the group bear specific inscriptions, including one marked COLCHESTER, one commemorating QUEEN ELIZABETH, and another dated 1990. The bobbins exhibit various decorative techniques, including pyrography and painted motifs. The cedar box is constructed with a hinged lid and a metal clasp.

Condition report:
The items are in used condition. Most bobbins appear intact and retain their spangles and beads. The cedar box shows minor surface wear, including scuffs, light scratches, and some discoloration to the interior wood surface.
