Description
A Coral mid-century modern pedestal desk alarm clock, manufactured in Japan. The clock features an oval-shaped head with a chrome-plated front bezel and a cream-coloured plastic rear casing. The dial displays a vibrant blue-to-silver sunburst gradient and is set with applied rectangular baton hour markers in orange and silver tones. The central hands are finished with luminous inserts. The clock is supported by a flared trumpet-style chrome-plated metal pedestal base. The mechanical wind-up movement is marked as having two jewels. The dial is printed with the brand name Coral at the twelve o’clock position, 2 Jewels below the centre, and Japan at the lower edge. The reverse features moulded lettering for controls including Push, Wind, Bell Set, Time, and Pull, alongside an oval Coral mark and Japan origin.

Condition report:
The chrome-plated surfaces on the pedestal base and front bezel show significant pitting, oxidation, and loss of original lustre. The clear plastic dial cover exhibits light surface scratches and scuffing throughout. The rear plastic housing shows age-related yellowing and minor surface marks. Several winding keys and setting knobs are missing from the rear assembly; only one small black adjustment knob is currently present. The mechanical movement is untested and the operational condition is unknown.
