Description
A William Shakespeare themed desk set manufactured by Studio Anne Carlton (SAC Ltd) of Hull, England. The set comprises a magnifying glass and a matching letter opener, both featuring gold-plated metal components. The magnifying glass is fitted with a 3.5-inch optically correct glass lens within a gold-plated frame. Both pieces feature ivory-toned composite handles, intricately carved with floral scrollwork and depicting a portrait of William Shakespeare alongside a reproduction of his signature. The items are presented in their original dark green presentation box, titled THE COUNTY SET, with a white satin-lined interior and an accompanying descriptive insert.
Box length: 18cm.
Condition report:
The magnifying glass and letter opener are in excellent condition. There is no visible damage to the glass lens, and the gold plating remains bright. The carved composite handles show no chips or cracks. The presentation box exhibits minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the exterior surfaces.
