Description
A hand-painted ceramic figurine titled Ethan the Cat designed by Lorna Bailey for Old Ellgreave Pottery. The whimsical figure is decorated with a white ground featuring bold black patches, a bright red nose, and a matching red collar. The head features a small tuft of ochre-coloured hair between two black ears. The piece is finished in a high-gloss glaze and bears the artist’s signature, Lorna Bailey, in red script to the lower back.
Base width: approximately 5 cm
Height: approximately 10 – 12 cm.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent original condition, showing no signs of chips, cracks, crazing, or professional restoration. The painted decoration and glossy glaze remain vibrant.
