Description
A contemporary earthenware disc teapot by the British ceramicist Lorna Bailey, featuring the Fantasia Cottage pattern. The vessel is constructed with a circular, disc-shaped body mounted upon a flared conical pedestal base, featuring a geometric rectangular handle and a small domed lid with a pointed finial. The exterior is hand-painted in a vibrant, multicoloured landscape design including stylized layered trees in shades of orange, yellow, blue, green, and red, and a central cottage motif against a white ground. The spout, handle, and base are finished in a solid black glaze. The underside of the base bears the handwritten inscription in black script Fantasia Cottage and the signature 19 Lorna Bailey.

Condition report:
The teapot is in good overall condition. There is fine, uniform crazing to the clear glaze over the white sections of the body, which is typical for earthenware of this period. No chips, cracks, or evidence of professional restoration are present. Minor surface shelf wear and light soiling are visible to the unglazed foot rim.
