Description
A vintage toy grand piano, model Baby Orchestra Piano. The piece is constructed from wood with a black painted finish. The lid features a central lithographed decal depicting an animal orchestra of anthropomorphic cats and dogs in formal attire playing various musical instruments, set within a banner reading BABY and ORCHESTRA PIANO. The keyboard comprises twelve wooden keys with a paper overlay printed with numbers 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3. The instrument is supported by three turned wooden legs.

Condition report:
The item is in heavily played-with condition showing significant signs of age. The black painted surface exhibits extensive scuffing, scratches, and paint loss, particularly concentrated along the edges and corners of the case. The lid decal shows surface wear, fading, and minor losses to the edges. The paper key overlays are severely deteriorated, displaying heavy staining, yellowing, and large areas of loss, most notably to the centre and right-hand keys. All three turned legs are present and appear structurally sound. The piece shows general signs of long-term storage including accumulated dust and surface grime.
