Description
A vintage curved bar brooch featuring guilloché enamel decoration. The central section is finished in translucent cyan blue enamel over an engine-turned ground with a repetitive wavy pattern. This is bordered by a perimeter of opaque white enamel. The brooch is constructed from silver with a simple hinged pin and C-clasp mechanism on the reverse. The reverse is incised with the mark SILVER and a second line of text which is not clearly legible.
Dimensions: Approximately 3.5 cm in width.
Condition report:
The enamel surfaces are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or bruising. The silver reverse shows surface oxidation and tarnish. The pin is slightly bent but functional and the C-clasp is intact.
