Description
A collection of six Homepride Fred promotional kitchenware figures, comprising three large flour sifters, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, and one small figurine. The figures are manufactured from moulded black and cream plastic, depicting the iconic brand mascot in a bowler hat and suit. One large figure is a special edition featuring an embossed logo on the chest depicting a laurel wreath with the text 25th Anniversary above a rectangular box containing the Homepride brand name. The salt and pepper shakers are distinguished by perforated hats.
Large figures: approximately 21.5 cm height
Small shakers: approximately 10.5 cm height.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and previous use, including a layer of surface dust and grime. There are visible scuffs and scratches to the black plastic bodies throughout the set. Variable paint loss is evident on the eyes and mouths of several figures. One of the medium-sized shakers has significant white marking or scuffing to the front of the torso, and another shows notable wear to the finish on the top of the hat.
