Description
A Casio Edifice chronograph watch head, model EF-552. The timepiece features a black dial with a carbon-fibre textured finish, three silver-toned sub-dials located at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, and applied luminescent baton indices. It is equipped with skeletonised luminescent hour and minute hands and a red central chronograph seconds hand. The dial is framed by a fixed black tachymeter bezel mounted on a stainless steel case with a screw-down case back. The watch utilises a Japan quartz movement, module 5119. Dial markings include EDIFICE, CASIO, WR 100M, and JAPAN MOVT. The case back is inscribed with the Edifice logo, WATER RESISTANT 10BAR, STAINLESS STEEL, CASED IN CHINA, JAPAN MOVT, EF-552, and 5119, with the serial number 8N222N. The item is offered as a watch head only, without a strap or bracelet.
Case diameter: 44mm.
Condition report:
The watch is in heavily used condition. The mineral crystal is severely scratched across the entire surface, significantly obscuring the dial. The black finish on the bezel shows extensive scuffing and wear, particularly between the 30 and 50 marks. The stainless steel case and lugs exhibit numerous scratches and dents consistent with heavy daily wear. The watch is missing its original strap. Functionality and timekeeping have not been tested; the working status is unknown.
