Description
A trio of silver-plated spoons including a teaspoon, a rectangular-bowled spoon, and a novelty shovel-form spoon. The teaspoon features an oval bowl and a handle terminal decorated with scrolled relief ornamentation. The small rectangular-bowled spoon is designed with a plain, tapering handle. The novelty spoon is shaped like a miniature spade or shovel, featuring a pointed blade and a D-shaped handle terminal. Indistinct marks are visible on the reverse of the teaspoon and rectangular spoon, though they are too worn to be legible. Due to the lack of identifiable solid silver hallmarks, these items are identified as silver-plated metal.
Condition report:
The lot exhibits significant surface tarnish and oxidation throughout. There is visible wear to the silver plating and general surface scratching consistent with age and use. Minor pitting is present in the bowl of the rectangular-bowled spoon.
