Description
A collection of assorted vintage and antique items comprising a mechanical perpetual desk calendar, decorative scissors with sheath, a baby rattle, a precision utility oiler, a rabbit figurine, and a coin paperweight. The perpetual desk calendar is of chrome-plated metal construction and is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND on the reverse of the stand. The decorative scissors feature ornate foliate-scroll handles and are housed in a metal sheath decorated with repoussé-style floral and scroll motifs with gilt-toned accents. The child’s rattle is crafted from silver-toned metal with pendant bells and features a central shield-shaped medallion with an embossed figure, fitted with a tapered mother-of-pearl teether handle. The precision utility oiler is made of nickel-plated metal with a thumb-press indentation and a screw-off nozzle cover. The decorative figurine depicts a clothed rabbit in the Beatrix Potter style, cast in pewter and mounted on a turned wooden base. The souvenir paperweight is a clear resin cube containing several Canadian one-cent coins, with a 1980 issue visible.

Condition report:
The desk calendar exhibits surface scratching and minor pitting to the chrome finish with light tarnish to the interior mechanism. The scissors and sheath show significant oxidation and loss to the gilt finish, with light surface oxidation on the blades. The baby rattle displays heavy tarnish to all metal surfaces; the mother-of-pearl handle remains intact with no visible cracks or chips. The utility oiler shows minor surface scratches and tarnish consistent with age and use. The rabbit figurine is in good condition with a natural aged patina to the metal. The resin paperweight shows slight age-related yellowing and light surface scuffing.
