Description
A collection of assorted mantel, travel, and novelty clocks, including examples of German manufacture. The group features a large circular Westclox mantel clock with an ornate brass-toned rococo-style bezel, the white dial marked Westclox, 7 Jewels, and Made in Germany. Also included is a gold-toned filigree egg-shaped clock with hinged doors on a blue and gold enamel-effect pedestal base, and a circular Emes mantel clock with a dark brown case and Roman numeral dial marked Made in Germany. A Europa brass folding travel clock features an integral picture frame, while a Chambord alarm clock is housed in a dark brown textured case. Novelty pieces comprise a silver-toned robot-shaped clock and a horse and carriage model clock within a clear acrylic presentation case. The collection is completed by various small quartz desk clocks and a circular brass-cased thermometer with Celsius and Fahrenheit scales marked Made in Germany.

Condition report:
The items are in varied condition with visible surface dust and light tarnishing to the metal surfaces throughout. The clear acrylic case of the horse and carriage clock shows light scuffing. Mechanical movements have not been tested for timekeeping or winding capacity and working status is unknown. Some quartz clocks likely require battery replacement.
