One bobbin is constructed from clear glass featuring internal trailing decoration. A significant portion of the collection is spangled with wire loops supporting a variety of glass, ceramic, and plastic beads, including square-cut and Vaseline-style examples. Several bobbins bear handwritten or stamped inscriptions, including Freed after 1943 day…, CHERRY, LINCOLNSHIRE LACEMAKERS, SHERYL, and MAS. Some spangles incorporate alphabet beads featuring the characters B, P, and A. The collection is presented in a circular silver-tone metal tray with a Greek key pattern gallery.

Tray Diameter: Approximately 28 cm
Bobbin Length: Varies between 9 cm and 13 cm.

Condition report:

The collection is in varied condition consistent with age and functional use. Most bobbins remain intact, although some turned wood and bone pieces show surface wear and minor staining. Several spangles are incomplete with missing beads or loose wire loops. The clear glass bobbin appears to be in good order. The silver-tone tray exhibits surface scratches and tarnish across the plated finish.
