Lot 141:
Description
A patinated bronze figurine realistically modelled as a mouse in a crouched position. The piece is cast with anatomical detail, featuring a heavily textured surface to simulate fur across the body and limbs. The form includes a pointed snout, small recessed eyes, and large rounded ears. A long, slender tail emerges from the rear and curls along the right side of the body, providing structural stability to the base. The underside displays four detailed paws with visible digits and a continuation of the fur texture. The base bears a small, illegible stamped mark near the front legs, and small traces of yellowish-green material are present in the recesses of the underside.
Length: 7.1 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition with minor rubbing to the high points of the patinated finish (photo 1). Small remnants of yellowish-green material are visible on the underside (photo 2 and 3). No breaks, missing parts, or repairs are evident.
