Description
A diverse collection of Silver and Bronze international military medals comprising various service and commemorative decorations from the mid-20th century. The grouping includes a Silver British War Medal featuring the profile of King George VI with the legend GEORGIVS VI D G BR OMN REX ET INDIAE IMP. Nigerian decorations consist of the 1960 Independence Medal and the 1st Decade Medal, the latter depicting a stepped pyramid and flame inscribed FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA. The assortment features a Bronze Czechoslovakian 1918-1938 commemorative medal inscribed ZA VERNOST A BRANNOST and US and Republic of Vietnam service medals. Also included are three Bronze Chinese medals, one star-shaped with a charging soldier motif and another featuring an anchor and gear, both displaying incised Chinese characters. The medals are suspended from original ribbons in multi-coloured stripes including red, white, blue, and yellow.

Condition report:
The medals are in good condition with varied degrees of surface oxidation and patina across the Bronze medals (photo 2). The Silver British medal exhibits light surface tarnishing (photo 1). The fabric ribbons show minor fraying and loose threads, particularly visible on the Nigerian 1st Decade medal (photo 3). The medal finishes and inscriptions remain sharp and legible throughout the lot.
