Description
A collection of vintage smoking items comprising advertising ashtrays, novelty table lighters and maintenance tools. A large ceramic ashtray is moulded in the form of a grey castle tower with faux brickwork, featuring a crest with red and white quarters and the word Kronenbourg printed in a black Gothic script. A clear Glass ashtray features advertising for Woodbine cigarettes, with a green interior rim reading TIPPED WOODBINE and a red rectangular panel reading Woodbine. The lot includes a pink ceramic ashtray with a stepped hexagonal base inscribed with the words DOULTON and SANITARY EQUIPMENT on the upper surface. Two rubber tire ashtrays with clear glass inserts are present, one embossed with the text Gum-Dipped and the size 6.00 – 16. Novelty lighters include a ceramic Scottish Terrier seated beside a table lamp on a book-shaped base with a blue and white enamelled metal shade, and a Bronze prowling tiger. The collection is completed by a plastic cigar cutter, metal cigar scissors, a Silver slim pocket lighter with a textured vertical-line pattern and a metal pipe multi-tool.

Condition report:
A ceramic table lamp lighter shows paint loss and wear to the blue enamelled shade (photo 4). The Bronze tiger lighter exhibits surface wear and rubbing to the finish on prominent features (photo 1). Both rubber tires show minor surface blooming and oxidation (photo 2). The pink ceramic Doulton ashtray shows light surface wear (photo 1). The ceramic castle tower ashtray and the glass Woodbine ashtray have no visible chips, cracks or significant wear (photo 1 and photo 3).
