Description
A collection of decorative glass, ceramic and Silver items featuring a large iridescent turquoise glass bowl with a textured peacock feather motif. Glassware includes three cobalt blue vessels comprising a shell-shaped lidded dish, a deep oval bowl and a small circular dish, alongside a dried yellow flower paperweight and a blue agate slice. Ceramics comprise a sheep figurine with a textured cream body colour, a shallow bowl with a leaping rabbit border and a circular plaque in a Silver frame inscribed BALMORAL CASTLE. Silver items feature three filigree napkin rings, a rectangular embossed box, a model tourer car mounted to a wooden plinth and a polished rectangular case. An optical magnifying glass is provided in a card box with a label reading J. C. BARRIE F.S.M.C. OPHTHALMIC OPTICIAN 66 NORTH STREET BISHOP’S STORTFORD HERTS Telephone 32936. The lot is further accompanied by a dragonfly motif pillbox and an assortment of costume jewellery.

Condition report:
The Balmoral Castle plaque exhibits significant surface crazing. The glass and ceramic components are in good condition with minor surface wear. Silver items show light tarnishing. The magnifying glass box shows wear to the edges.
