Lot 32:
Description
A Silver cocktail ring featuring a prominent domed head constructed from intricate wirework filigree scrolls and granulation. The apex of the dome holds a circular cabochon-cut malachite stone, displaying characteristic green swirling patterns, secured within a serrated bezel setting. The head is supported by a triple-split band that tapers into a single, adjustable open-ended shank. The interior of the shank bears three rectangular stamps; the characters within these marks are not legible as a name.
Diameter: 2.5 cm.
Condition report:
The ring displays visible tarnish and dark patina within the recesses of the filigree work (photo 1). The adjustable shank exhibits surface wear and minor distortion from use (photo 2). The malachite cabochon shows minor surface wear consistent with age (photo 1).
