The tapered stem and rounded handle are ornamented with bright-cut engraving in a repeating lozenge pattern interspersed with small four-leaf floral motifs. The reverse of the stem is marked with London hallmarks for 1897, including the maker mark GA for Chawner and Co.
Length: 22 cm.

Condition report:

The spoon is in good antique condition. There is visible wear to the gilt wash in the bowl, exposing the silver beneath in high-relief areas (photo 1). The item shows minor surface scratches and light tarnish consistent with age and occasional use (photo 1, 2). No significant dents, deep gouges, or repairs are visible.
