Description
A collection of pottery items comprising two character jugs, two piggy banks, a vinegar shaker, and a tulip vase. The larger character jug is modelled as a cavalier with a wide-brimmed feathered hat and a white collar, featuring a handle formed by a brown scroll. The smaller character jug depicts a male figure in a blue sweater with a white and blue striped collar, his right arm and a steering wheel forming the handle. Two anthropomorphic piggy banks from the NatWest collection include a larger figure in a black suit with a red flower and a smaller figure in a green dress with a yellow striped tie. The conical vinegar shaker is decorated in the classic horizontal blue and white stripes, featuring the word VINEGAR printed in black capital letters and a blue plastic stopper. The tall, slender white porcelain vase features a split rim and a grey foliate motif. The smaller character jug base is marked with the printed name Royal Doulton and the title Veteran Motorist. The vinegar shaker bears a green printed mark for T.G. Green Ltd Church Gresley.

Condition report:
The large cavalier character jug shows fine crazing across the face and hat, with a small area of paint loss on the front brim of the hat (photo 1). The T.G. Green shaker exhibits general surface wear and slight variations in the blue glaze bands (photo 1). The two piggy banks and the small character jug appear in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The white vase shows no visible damage or repairs.
