Lot 186:
Description
A decorative Silver double barrel flintlock pistol featuring over-under barrels and a simulated firing mechanism. The item is constructed with cast barrels and furniture displaying extensive relief scrollwork and floral motifs throughout the lock plate, trigger guard, and pommel. The stock is crafted from moulded brown resin with integrated decorative scrollwork and a textured finish. This non-firing replica includes a single trigger and simulated flintlock hammers. The barrels feature engraved patterns consistent with 18th-century French styling. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good decorative condition with an antiqued finish applied to the metalwork to simulate age. The resin stock shows minor surface wear and small scuffs consistent with handling. The simulated action appears to move, though the item is intended for display purposes only.
