Description
A Silver cocktail ring featuring a large oval cabochon rainbow moonstone. The gemstone is held in a full bezel setting and displays a distinct adularescent blue flash across the surface. The band comprises a polished D-section shank that tapers slightly towards the shoulders. The stone exhibits natural internal cleavage planes and inclusions typical of the species. An indentation is present on the interior of the shank, although no specific characters are legible. The ring is presented in a black foam-lined jewellery box.
Condition report:
The ring is in good used condition with minor surface scratches to the metal consistent with light wear (photo 1). The moonstone crown is free from significant chips or abrasions, though internal fractures are visible which are natural features of the stone (photo 4). No significant damage to the setting or shank is visible.
