Description
A vintage small suitcase or vanity case constructed from textured brown faux leather with a printed grain designed to simulate natural leather. The rectangular body features rounded corners and dark brown vinyl piping with contrast stitching. The exterior is fitted with two spring-loaded metal latch locks and a central green moulded plastic handle with a contoured grip. The interior is lined with paper or thin fabric in a cream and green checkered plaid pattern. The hardware comprises two lock plates with keyholes and central latch mechanisms, alongside hinged mounts for the handle. No maker’s marks or brand names are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.

Condition report:
The exterior shows minor surface scuffing and scratches consistent with age (photo 1). Significant tarnishing, pitting, and oxidation are present on all metal hardware components, including the locks and hinges (photo 1). The vinyl piping shows wear and fraying at the corners (photo 3). The interior lining displays significant foxing, staining, and water damage, particularly in the lower corners, and a tear is visible near the top right hinge (photo 2).
