Description
A collection of vintage advertising items comprising three glazed ceramic water jugs and a cast metal bar sign. The largest jug features a light brown speckled glaze with a printed diamond-shaped logo reading QUEEN ANNE SCOTCH WHISKY. A second cream-coloured jug is decorated with a transfer-printed red grouse and the text THE FAMOUS GROUSE FINEST SCOTCH WHISKY. The third item is a cream-coloured graduated measuring jug with red and green floral motifs and the text made to measure, featuring an internal 500ml measurement mark. The lot is completed by a heavy black-finished cast metal bar sign with raised white lettering reading The Welcome Sign, featuring a printed rectangular insert with a red triangle, a yellow pitcher icon, and the text Mitchells & Butlers. The reverse of the sign is fitted with two metal spring mounting clips.

Condition report:
The Queen Anne jug appears in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The Famous Grouse jug shows fine surface crazing throughout the glaze (photo 1). The measuring jug is in good condition. The metal bar sign exhibits significant age-related wear, including staining and yellowing to the Mitchells & Butlers insert and surface rust to the reverse mounting clips (photo 2).
