Description
A Silver pendant featuring a large marquise-cut black onyx gemstone. The front of the stone is ornately hand-carved with a central circular boss surrounded by a radiating floral and leaf-like motif. The gemstone is secured within a simple bezel setting, finished with a decorative bifurcated bail attachment featuring three vertical ridges. The reverse of the stone is polished flat and smooth. The interior surface of the bail features several small recessed marks which are not legible.
Condition report:
The pendant is in good used condition with minor surface scratches to the silver setting consistent with wear (photo 2). The carved gemstone shows no visible chips or cracks. There are faint white traces within the carved grooves, likely residue from cleaning or polishing compounds (photo 1). The polished reverse shows minor surface abrasions (photo 2).
