Description
A Jasper statement necklace featuring thirteen graduated, polished cabochon stones. The stones exhibit the distinctive brecciated pattern and palette of Leopard Skin Jasper, including shades of mauve, ochre, earthy brown, and dark blue-grey. The gemstones are cut into a variety of shapes including ovals, teardrops, and irregular quadrilaterals, each secured in a bezel setting. The settings are joined by double jump rings to allow for fluid movement. The necklace is suspended from a curb link chain and terminates in a flat metal hook clasp. The reverse of the stone settings shows a polished metal finish. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The necklace is in good used condition. Minor surface scratches are present on the metal settings and the reverse of the pieces (photo 2). There is visible wear and light tarnishing to the metal finish on the flat clasp plate (photo 1). The Jasper cabochons are intact with no visible chips or cracks.
