Description
A Silver cocktail ring featuring a prominent square-cut faceted amethyst of deep violet colour. The gemstone is secured in a raised gallery by four split prongs, set atop an architectural mount with openwork geometric and scrolled cutouts. The shoulders of the ring feature tapering, layered triangular sections with pierced detailing, leading into a wide, polished band. The interior shoulder of the ring bears a small rectangular stamp reading 925.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces exhibit light surface scratches and minor tarnish consistent with wear (photo 3). The amethyst gemstone appears in good condition with no visible chips or abrasions to the crown facets (photo 1). Some minor residue is present within the recessed areas of the openwork gallery and beneath the pavilion of the stone (photo 2).
