The decorative scheme consists of stylized geometric and avian motifs, most notably a prominent feather-like pattern radiating from the base of the neck. The underside of the base features an incised signature reading Margaret Garcia Santa Clara Pue. N. Mex. The piece is characteristic of traditional Tewa pottery techniques from the Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico.
Height: 12.7 cm.
Condition report:
The vase is in good overall condition. There are light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with age and handling visible across the polished body (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or repairs are evident.
