Description
A collection of diecast metal model vehicles and accessories, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The assortment includes various commercial and passenger models, featuring a yellow Kodak Cameras & Films van with red wheels and legible red and black lettering to the side panels. Also included is a dark brown Hershey’s van featuring a graphic of two children and text reading Hershey Pa and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate & Kisses. The group contains an articulated tanker in white with blue and silver detailing, a red van, and two military vehicles in olive green, one modelled as a Daimler scout car. Passenger models include a white and red Buick saloon, a light blue Mini, a red open-top racing car with a white driver figure and the number 9 to the bonnet, and a light blue Ford Zodiac featuring a red circular learner plate to the roof. Further models include a light blue saloon with a red roof rack, a grey Vauxhall Cresta, and a yellow caravan trailer. The models are constructed from cast metal with various painted finishes and plastic wheels.
Condition report:
The collection is in play-worn condition with significant paint loss, chipping, and surface oxidation across all models (photo 1). Several vehicles are missing tyres, most notably the grey Vauxhall Cresta and the white Buick (photo 4). The white and red Buick is missing its interior and window glazing (photo 2). The decals on the Kodak and Hershey\'s vans show partial wear but remain legible (photo 2 and photo 3). The articulated tanker shows heavy paint loss to the tank (photo 3). The light blue Mini and various two-tone saloons exhibit extensive surface weathering and loss of original finish (photo 4).
