Description
A vintage musical jewelry box modelled as a grand piano, finished in black lacquer with gold Chinoiserie landscape decoration featuring pagodas and trees. The hinged lid opens to reveal a triptych mirror and a vibrant pink velvet-lined interior containing a rotating plastic ballerina figure in a white and red polka dot tutu. The box is accompanied by a silver-tone key and three detached black support legs. The lot includes an assortment of costume jewelry comprising a silver charm bracelet with green glass beads, multiple silver rings set with large colorless faceted stones, a multi-strand rhinestone bracelet, and several silver link chains. A metal escutcheon is fixed to the front of the case, though the characters are not legible.

Condition report:
The jewelry box exhibits surface wear and minor scuffing to the exterior lacquer (photo 1). The three support legs have become detached from the base and are loose in the lot (photo 3). The interior pink velvet shows light dust and debris accumulation (photo 1). The jewelry collection shows some tangling to the chains and light oxidation to the metal surfaces (photo 1). The mechanical winding function is untested.
